Moving forward, we will no longer have a Standards Team. Similar to how the Squadron Warrant Officer is the "head" of Administration, we will be revisiting previous methods of having the Cadet Deputy Commander be the head of Standards and Flight Commanders will administer corrections.
What does this mean?
Flight Commander and Flight Sergeant positions will be entirely in charge of maintaining the standards in their flight. You shall maintain a consistent procedure of looking over all cadet uniforms throughout the night. This means walking to every single cadet and inspecting them. This responsibility shall be shared with Sergeants or even Flight Corporals: tasks can be delegated similarly to a calling tree.
Keep in mind that maintaining standards is 50% visual and 50% reinforcement. The same level of dress of the Flight Commander should also be reflected in your cadets - and corrections shall always be made when required.
"If you see an issue but do not address it, you have created a new lower standard."
There will be official procedures found in our Squadron Standing Orders soon regarding misconduct via improper dress and deportment; these details can also be found in CATO 15-22. https://www.canada.ca/en/department-national-defence/services/cadets-junior-canadian-rangers/cjcr-policy/catos/volume1/15-series/15-22/15-22-a.html on appropriate warnings.
Should there be any issues, reach out to the Cadet Deputy Commander.
Likewise, any issues noted by officers will also be passed down in the same chain of command.
