If you just registered your child to be a cadet at our squadron, we are pleased to announce that training will begin on 21 September 2023. Children who have not reached 12 years of age will wait until they have turned 12 before coming.

Timings: Arrive at 1800h (6pm) and pick up your child at 2120h (9:20pm)

Cadets/ Parents are NOT allowed in the building until 6pm. Please pick up your children on time. Any cadets waiting for longer than 30 minutes (for any activity) and are unable to make contact to parents/emergency contacts may be brought to the police station should the supervising staff be no longer available.

What to wear every Thursday Night:

1. White Dress Shirt + black tie (if you don't have a white dress shirt, wear a white long sleeve/ t shirt)

2. Black Dress pants (if you don't have this, any black pants)

3. Black Dress Shoes (if you don't have this, black shoes, or dark shoes)

*Optional: Bring a jacket (preferably a black/blue/dark colour) - it can get cold at night.

What to Bring every Thursday Night:

1. Backpack

2. Notebook + Pens

3. Water Bottle

Your child will be learning indoors and outdoors. Be prepared to take notes during lessons and be standing outside for 1-2 hours each night.

*ALERT: If your child has signs/symptoms of being sick, STAY HOME. Any spread of illness will shut down our access to the building, effectively stopping training.

UNIFORM PARTS:

If you have not been measured by our Supply Officer/ Supply NCO Cadets, you can measure your own child and fill out this form at home:

This will allow us to speed up the process to get your child their uniform parts. Keep in mind that there is a uniform shortage across the country. Once you complete the form, we will keep you informed of when uniforms arrive.
